John Desktop Buddy
A downloadable Desktop Companion for Windows and Linux

Your very own John Egbert Desktop Companion! He walks, does a little dance, and doesn't like being dragged around!
Supports multi monitor setups (in theory, at least it works on mine). Currently only for Windows, Linux build coming very soon (not so sure about that one anymore, sorry) definitely not coming, sorry. Now for Windows and Linux.
The Linux version may be a little buggy, it may depend on your window manager.
I'm still not sure about what more to add to it, so if you have an idea, feel free to leave a comment!

- Added the Linux version.
10.25.2020:
- Added a notifier functionality for Homestuck^2 updates, checking every 10 seconds against upd8.ninja's latest update json file. Every time it detects an update, John does a little dance and a toast notification is sent, with the update title, and page count.
- Added an "About" entry to the context menu linking to this itch.io page.
10.24.2020:
- Removed the taskbar icon and added a system tray icon/context menu to exit, or open the Homestuck websites.
- Added the "THIS IS STUPID" animation.
- Added a check so John won't repeat the same animation twice in a row (except for walking).

Install instructions
- For Windows: Run "John Desktop Buddy.exe", if it gets flagged as a virus, I swear it's not. I ran it through VirusTotal and said that 10 engines detected it as a virus for some reason.
- For Linux: Run "John Desktop Buddy", make sure it's marked as executable.
